Mortal Kombat arrived today. I was lucky enough to get the Kollector's Edition, which came with Scorpion and Subzero game holder figures and a limited edition MK book. Going to go play now.

Angry Birds Cake
I love the Angry Birds app game, very addicting, so much that I also got Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio. I came across this cool cake inspired by the game. How awesome is that? I want one! Now to try to convince Apes to make it. hhmmm.....

Good Reads
Apes current books she cant get enough of is the Wicked Series. From what she tells me its no where near the play or the old school classic "Wizard of Oz". Its supposed to start off before Dorothy came to the Emerald City, and is all about the Wicked Witch. From the bits and pieces she tells me, The Wicked Witch was actually not a bad person, she even has a son and I guess the last book tells the story of the Lion. I'll let Apes fill me in whens shes all done.
Tech Geek
Ever since I received my Itouch 4g, I haven't been able to put it down. It's so cool! The reason I purchased one was because I got rid of my cell phone and I needed a device to check my email and text when I can connect to a hotspot. The little device is pretty powerful and being able to jailbreak it was another plus.
I can spend countless hours checking out apps and mods that make it easy to customize my touch, I am having fun finding themes to display. Here are some of my favorites at the moment!

Janet Jackson Up Close & Personal Tour 2011
August 14, 2011
The Janet concert was at the Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles. It was the first show out of three that she would be performing at. It was supposed to start at 8:15pm, but the actual start time was around an hour later. The theater was small but the stage was easily viewed from our seats. Unfortunately, we did not get up close seats like we did last time during the Rock Witchu Concert.
To start off the tour they played two of her music videos, All for you and Together Again. That pumped the audience and ourselves up, knowing she would be performing soon. Soon the stage lit up and "Janet" was flashing on the screen, on the corner of the stage a door popped open with a spot light shining on Janet as she was singing Pleasure Principle. Some lucky fans were steps away from her but the "guards" kept people at bay, pushing aside some eager fans trying to touch her. Janet headed on stage as everyone was screaming their heads off, including Apes. It was a two hour concert, maybe a little longer. Most of the songs were up tempo, with some slow ones in between. We had a blast and the concert seemed to finish in no time. She closed with Together Again, as in her previous tour and had pictures of her and Michael on the big screen. Her brother Jermaine and mother were in the audience and the poor family were mobbed with fans trying to get a picture. I think Janet acknowledged them toward the audience as she was nodding and looking toward there direction.
To sum it up, we had so much fun, and wanted to go back the next day, but the reality of the price sunk in and we couldn't justify ourselves forking out $500. Very tempting though! The location was perfect, the Universal Studio Walk, it had lots of shop and lots of places to eat! We recommend the spinach dip from Bubba Gump but Apes would say no to the alcoholic drink that we had that was filled with too much vodka for her liking.
